Have a Polaris Ranger EV LSV (LSV = low speed vehicle). Licensed and insured for street use + a very able off road UTV. 11.9 kw. 48v, 30 HP AC induction motor. Has 8 12v 155 AH wet lead acid batteries with 4 in each bank connected in series and the 2 banks connected in parallel = 48v 310 AH.


Thinking of converting to Li ION batteries.


Any suggestions ?

 

Consider the fact that Li ION batteries have to be recharged a lot of times and they can only be used 2-3 years even when left unused. If you are okay with that go for those.
