Re: Buying a Used Ford Escape
Ads also stated that the 2009 Ford Flex was the first to have DFCO(deceleration fuel cutoff). The 2009 Escape has it but I'm unsure if there were different versions and when it was first used. There was a patent for it used in a Ford Escort just to show how back it used in some form.

It operates when one steps on the accelerator at all speeds, even during sunny and dry weather. It is designed this way. As someone has stated all along, the system is not so "intelligent".

You need to be more detailed in explaining what exactly you were doing at the time. It shouldn't engage at that high "constant" speed. I did forget that it will engage slightly for some unknown reason with moderate to heavy throttle from a constant speed.
