Electrochromic Mirrors on FEH with homelink
 

Has anyone installed these successfully on the Ford escape hybrids 2005-2007? The accessory catalogs say they are not compatible but i wanna know if anyones got them to work electronically with anti glare and homelink... i have an 2005 Ford escape hybrid and i pulled em off an 05' mariner with the v6....

Yes, I have one installed on my 2006 FEH. Everything functions properly.

I installed a Mazda dimming mirror with homelink in my 2006 Escape Hybrid. The Mazda part was significantly cheaper than the best price that I could find for the Ford part and had the same features. I ordered for the 2006 Tribute Hybrid. I had the Ford dealership install but it looked like a straight forward installation: a temperature probe around the radiator and connections to the power. No problems at all with any of the mirror features.

I purchased a Gentex (Genk50a)on sale for $300 and had a local shop install it and so far it works perfect. It has outside temperature, direction,garage door opener and auto dimming. I have an o6 FEH that we had it installed in when I purchased the Escape used last Summer.
