Hybrid vs. 2.3L vs. 3.0 L for mileage

My wife just totaled our 2007 Hybrid. I can not find any for sale right now.We were getting ~29 mpg with it. If I were to buy an Escape (non Hybrid) with the 2.3L engine, how much worse will my mileage be. We do 95% of our driving on the highway.

Also, what is the difference in mileage between the 2.3L and the 3.0L v-6?

Sorry to hear about the loss of your 2007 FEH. Hope this helps you make your decision.

Here are the 2010 model year EPA numbers according to FuelEconomy.gov: (4cy = 2.5L, 6cyl (FFV) = 3.0L)

FWD:
4cyl Auto - 21/28
4cy Manu - 22/28
6cyl Auto - 19/25 (E85 - 14/19)
FEH CVT - 34/31

4WD:
4cyl Auto - 20/26
6cyl Auto - 18/23 (E85 - 13/17)
FEH CVT - 30/27
