Interesting article at EV World
I thought this article was very interesting.
When I first tried the '08 FEH, I could tell right away it was significantly changed. The EPA estimates were better (sticker shows both '08 numbers and what numbers would have been under the old method) and I'd heard this really was a whole new generation of software/ controls. I've been wondering about exactly what they did and how they did it, and this article has helped me understand that better. http://www.evworld.com/article.cfm?storyid=1351 |

Re: Interesting article at EV World
This was an interesting article, I was not aware that the battery pack was 2nd generation compared to the 05-07. I thought the entire mpg difference was due to software changes.

Re: Interesting article at EV World
I thought this was a really interesting development too:
"The Fusion Hybrid now in development will have Ford's third generation drive system, and while he wouldn't share what that means in terms of its CAFE ratings, he did indicate that it will likely go on sale in late 2008. He did hint that there are some "surprises" in store when it does." |
