KYB shocks and loaded struts report.

KYB shocks and loaded struts report.
My 06 MMH had the original Motorcraft shocks and struts with 282K miles. Was driving and heard a "Snap!" then rattling. A mounting stud rusted away from the top one of the rear shocks.
Ordered a complete set of KYBs from Rock Auto. They had the best price by far. I opted for the loaded front strut assemblies. They come with new springs. Saved me a lot of time and work and gained an inch in front end height.
What a difference they make. Went from feeling like a soft bouncy Cadillac to a stiff precise Porsche. LOL, well not that extreme but you get the idea. Makes it so much more enjoyable to drive.
There was a KYB mail in rebate on there website for a $25 cash card and I used a coupon code 5387936748131651 for a 5% discount. Paste the code in the " How Did You Hear About Us? " box at the bottom of cart.
Installation was easy but be sure you have a nice set of tools. The nuts and bolts on the lower struts are very tight.
