odd electrical glitch
Saturday my 08 feh fwd (navigation moonroof leather) was parked in the driveway, and the alarm was triggered.
I could not disarm it. I used the fob and locked/unlocked it repeatedly. I disconnected the 12v battery for an hour; nothing worked. Finally I pulled the fuse to the horn relay so it wouldn't **** the neighbors off anymore. Even with the engine running, I could hear the turn signal flasher module continuing to operate.
I took it to the Ford dealership, and it magically stopped. The service Rep said they had a few escapes come in where the seal at the bottom of the windshield failed and moisture got into an electrical module. Estimated 3 days to disassemble, troubleshoot and reassemble. I was going on a return trip home the next day from out of town, so that was not feasible. I am going to take it in a week from now, but wanted to know if anyone has had similar issues, and what the outcome was.

Prolly the anti-theft module is bad or at least flaky. Especially since the turn signals were also messing up. But since the module is in the console, a water leak from the windscreen would have to travel through a lot of stuff before it got there. I sure wouldn't let them haphazardly disassemble stuff to try to figure it out, though. Bad for the wallet.
