If we could get Nancy Pelosi to put offshore drilling on the agenda and if it were to pass, we'd probably see prices below $3. Imagine what a shot in the arm that would be to working class people and the entire economy in general. Too bad she's so beholden to the enviro-lobby that she won't do what's good for the country.

Worst of all it enables us to continue using the heroin in our economy: oil.
Drilling is the exact opposite of what we need to do to counter climate change. Coastal wind power is something we should have been working on years ago.
Wind along with plug-in hybrid cars would do leaps and bounds more for the US in terms of energy independence and cost per mile!

In case anyone wondered, in areas where the govt mandated E10 is taking place gasoline is cheaper since a wholesale gallon of that stuff is $2 compared to $3 for gasoline. However, you get $2 worth of energy -- or less. Eventually everyone will realize the true costs of ethanol...........

I just drove through Great Bend, Kansas, and gas there was $3.499, well below the $3.799 here in Dernver. But then another tropical system is in the Gulf of Mexico, so who knows.
