Rough auto-stop/start?

Hi Everyone,

Been reading the threads for a while. Finally signed up today. :)

My 2009 Silverado Hybrid 2HY 4x4 has a noticable "jump" or roughness when the engine starts/stops. I was wondering how noticable this is for anyone else - I mean does the truck body have a little shutter when you enter auto-stop and start, or do you have to look at the gauge to know the engine stopped/started?

I bought my truck in April 2010, and I think it was manufactured at the end of '08, so it sat on the lot for a while. Could that be the reason? Anything that can be done about that?

Oh yeah, it has been like that since new, and has about 1700 miles on it now. Avg. econ. driving in AZ currently at 18.4 mpg.

Thanks,
Jason

welcome aboard!

mine kind of stumbles usually when transitioning from gaz to electric. It is not a chronic issue and its only done it a couple of times.....from elec to gaz is still a non event you dont know unless you look at the tach. Have them check the software for the latest updated stuff, as there have been updates released since 08.

Re: Rough auto-stop/start?

With the Volant exhaust and the windows down you can hear the engine start, however no jolting ver smooth.:shade:
