2005 HCH flash codes
Hey,
I finally was able pull the flash codes from OBDII port and I even took a video of it. Can someone please read the flashes for me if I send the video?
I have been having issues with the car for weeks since I replaced the 12 volt. Check engine light, stuck in limp mode, replaced all fuses, etc..
Thanks Larry

Re: 2005 HCH flash codes
Not sure how I missed this.
CEL 30, U0101 A/T FI Signal A/B Circuit Malfunction
CEL 69, P1600 IMA System Malfunction
IMA 35, does not exist in the Honda Service manual
IMA 55, U0100 ECM Signal Circuit Problem
Based on that, I would first say you have a weak/failing 12V.
If it's not that, the IMA codes say you have an open wire or short between the ECM and MCM. If it's not that, you have a failed MCM.
The CEL codes say you have a bad ECM or TCM.
So you either have a failed MCM AND a failed TCM, or you have a failed ECM. My money is on you having a bad ECM, which is also supported by the bogus code (assuming you didn't mis-count, and I haven't just missed it).
IMHO, you should get a Honda service manual on CD from eBay. They're around $50 and worth every penny.

Re: 2005 HCH flash codes
Unfortunately, the video adds nothing diagnostically other than to confirm you're having symptoms related to BOTH transmission and IMA. The codes tell more than that, and the behavior seems consistent with those codes.
The one component in common is the ECM.
Again, buy a manual:

Specific diagnostic steps are no more complicated than checking resistance/voltage with a multimeter. End result for everything is essentially:
Repair broken wire.
Repair short
Update computer or replace computer with known good.
$37.77, and you can fix your own problem.
