New oil from HONDA!

Afternoon good people,
I recenty went to my local honda dealer (im in UK) to get parts for short service (oil, filters etc.) Instead of the regular 0w20 they gave me Honda's new green efficiency 0w5 oil. They even gave it me with a discount. Asking only that with it being the new oil that ALL honda economy engines will be using I simply pop in and let them know how I was getting on with it. Well here it is;
1. Little noisy when cold, valve rattles etc, but nothing more than a nissan micra would I suppose, still a silent engine.
2. town mpg @ 30mph from 45mpg > 50mpg
3. Motoway/highway @ 65mph 75mpg > 100+mpg.

The gauge never drops below 75 even uphill on highway. The engine also revs a lot more free.

So, people. Do you have any thoughts or similar experience on this new oil?

Lee.

NEO Synthetic makes a 0w5 here in the States.

You thought Mobil 0w20 was expensive at around $6 a quart. NEO 0w5 is around $12 a quart.

50 bucks for an oil change is a little out of my price range!

Well, all I know is that Honda doesn't specify the filter be changed is merely a check mark in the comparison charts that Honda uses for marketing purposes.
Although under the maintenance minder, Honda doesn't specify a mileage for
changing your oil. But the dealer will be happy to do it ever 3000
miles for you if that's what you want.
