Trade-In Value of HCH 05

Trade-In Value of HCH 05
I was thinking about trading in my HCH 05 with 7K miles for the 07 model. Has anyone trade-in there 05? I was wondering what a realistic trade-in value is. I already checked Kelley Blue Book value but it seems so unrealistically high that I can't imagine any dealership even offering $1000 less the blue book.
KBB trade-in value $19,600 in good cond.
Thanks
Wayne

Re: Trade-In Value of HCH 05
On Edmunds the national base price for a trade in is: $16,465.
It says my car's trade in value is: $16,966... although I think I should have picked average (or worse) instead of clean as the condition because my hood needs to be replaced.
Here's how it broke down:
Optional Equipment
Continuously Variable Transmission $585
Color Adjustment
Gray $-25
Regional Adjustment
for Zip Code 334XX $-59
Mileage Adjustment
23,000 miles $0
Condition Adjustment
Clean $0

Re: Trade-In Value of HCH 05
I checked with my dealer and it was around $17K, but that was with me getting a super deal on new one since I know them. Mine is 05 with 14K on it.
They generally go by the black book values and never used the excellent condition column and dont even add for mileage unless you ask and will quickly deduct for high mileage. I would try CarMax first, although they were not even in the ballpark when my son took his CRV to them recently.

yeah, carmax is not the best place to take your car if you are going to get another car from the dealer. in most states you also save on the tax since you only pay tax on what you owe. ie car is $20,000 and your trade is $15,000 you pay tax on only $5,000.

Re: Trade-In Value of HCH 05
I was at the dealer getting my 06 serviced yesterday and they had a used 05 HCH with around 5,600 miles on it for $22,850. I was astonished, since I purchased my 06 at that same dealer for $22,400 around a year ago. I'm sure no one would pay that price retail here in Indiana however, especially with the lower gas prices. Did make me feel better about resale value though.

Re: Trade-In Value of HCH 05
in my opinion the hch I is totally overpriced at the moment,
i payed for my 04 HCH I CVT 72 k highway miles, 0 dings, dents, scratches, nothing, new tires, previous owner was a 55 - year old teacher
12 k US-$ (dallas/fort worth dealer)
dings, dents and scratches are added fluently by using mexican roads.
best wishes
