Ecopia MPG

So which ones?

Ecopia EP 20

Or

Ecopia EP 422 Plus

Noise?
MPG?
Ride comfort?
Handling?
Wear?

Your opinions are welcome.

Thanks.

S kenith says its the ecopia EP422, and I dont see whats so good about the ep20.

What I decided to do was go for what has the highest comfort and simple just up the psi to make up for role resistance. I think what wins the most for this is the michellin a/s and continental truecontact.

Re: Ecopia MPG

I was looking for a cheap LRR option, and I unfortunately chose the Goodyear Integrity. They were listed as LRR at the time, but I don't really think they are.

I miss my EP422 Plus. These were tires that I could readily get 50-52mpg on with a decent battery, good solid tune and conservative driving.

I would consider the EP20 solely on the basis that they're OEM fitment on the Gen3 Prius.

The EP422 had a fair amount of road noise. Nothing like the RE92/Insight combo though.

I would have a slight preference to go with what I know vs. the EP20.

I chose the Michelin AS premier. Good ride. Good noise a far. Getting 40 MPG on average on my commute. Happy with that. I'm guessing that the Ecopias would have been better on MPG but a guy has to choose and the AS were on sale at Costco wth free install.
