Yes. My 2011 Civic is one of the most dangerous cars I've ever driven because of this. Fun maneuverable car but, eventually comes to close calls with pedestrians. I actually ran over an island when making a wide left turn one night simply because I was blind to it. When in grocery store parking lots it's important to lean forward and back in order to see around the pillars and mirrors. They block over a foot off line of vision. I know I'm a good driver after years of trucking but, that island was a shock. Then with only 112,000 miles on it, the transmission just went. The words "Certified Vehicle" doesn't mean much to me anymore.
