2 questins:
1. Is there a way to do a complete flush as done on other Honda automatic trahsnmissions. Had this done on my 02 4 cyl Accord and car runs much smoother. Is there a way for the CVTs to be done this way?
2. Anyone use anything other than the Honda CVT oil? Is there a synthetic AFT life oil for this application?

Power flushing a CVT trans is a bad idea. Honda actually advises against this. there are mathods, mentioned in other threads, of pumping out all the fluid. I just changed mine x2 and my CVT behaved like it was new. At 24K I got the maint minder msg to change the fluid. I did, and first flush was very dark and odd-smelling. I drove around for a little while and changed it again, and the fluid was much cleaner. The bucking and roguh, jumpy starts I got taking off from a light were gone with the 2 drain and fills, 3 qts each. Almost 5K since with no problems.
