Dash warning lights on and car is sluggish after jump start.
 

Hi all. Is this site what Greenhybrid.com used to be when I had my 2006 hch2? Is msantos still around?
Anyway, I need help with my 2014 hch3. I left an interior light on and had to jump start the car. Since then , all my dash warning lights are on, the car starts very loudly, is very slow off the line, and the engine does not turn off when idling like it is supposed to. I drove the car for 60 miles to see if the lights would go off, but that didn't work. It seems the electric motor is not working at all. I live in California, and the car has 92k miles. Any input or suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Got a code at Autozone: "ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, 61-11. VSA MODULATOR CONTROL UNIT POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT (IG) LOW VOLTAGE. No solution found. Additional diagnostic work is needed to determine the issue with your vehicle. Locate a repair shop nearby".
What does this mean? Is the brake system causing all the problems?
Kudos to Autozone for having the free code reader service. They even gave me a printout.

ps: Since the IMA, check engine, brake system and battery warning lights are all showing on the dash, why didn't the Autozone code reader pick up anything related to the ima, battery and check engine lights? Why just the brake system?
pps: on the 67 mile drive I took to try to get the dash lights to turn off, my fuel efficiency was 50.3mpg, all fwy driving and using fuel saving techniques. Can I get that kind of efficiency if just the ICE is functioning?

Autozone is not a particularly reliable way to diagnose a hybrid.

Recommend you completely disconnect the 12V and charge it with a 12V charger. Once charged, reconnect the 12V and see if the issues return.

Thank you! I will try that. I also read somewhere that if the battery and brake warning lights are on, it could mean a bad alternator, so I removed the positive battery cable while the car was idling, and the car died, which supposedly means a bad alternator. All the interior lights and rear view camera lights are dim, too.
My 2006 hch2 never had any problems. I miss it now. It even got better gas mileage than this hch3.
Ps: I checked the 30 amp abs fuses under the hood, too. No problem there.

Turns out the hch3 doesn't have an alternator but a dc-dc convertor, which AutoZone doesn't carry, so if charging the disconnected battery doesn't work, it's off to the stealership I go.

No Honda hybrid has ever had an alternator including your HCH2.

Did you try what I suggested?

Your '06 experience is atypical. I had two '06. I still hate them.

My only issue with the 06 was the rear spoiler issue. No biggie.
Yep, I'm still trickle charging it and will report back as soon as it is fully charged. Thanks again for your replies and suggestion.

Ok I fully charged the disconnected battery. The engine starting is still loud, 4 dash warning lights are still on: battery, IMA, check engine and brake system, the lights are still dim, and the ICE still won't turn off at a stop, but the car is a little less sluggish off the line. I took a 20 mile fwy drive and got 44.2 mpg. No recalibrations happening, either.

Was there anything abnormal about the jump start? Reversed polarity cables?

With the car idling what is the voltage at the battery terminals?
