17" Si wheels on HCH2?

Has anyone tried putting on a set of 17" Civic Si wheels on a HCH2? I read somewhere that these wheels didn't fit due to regenerative brakes getting in the way of the wheels rotation.

you will need spacers...which i don't reccomend. but, since it is so little it shouldn't be that big of a deal. 3mm is what you need. it is the same on the other civics besides the Si.

Well, I think that source may have been poorly written as to give
that impression. The regenerative braking is caused by the elecrtic motor -- which is integrated with the flywheel on the engine. Instead of providing boost, that motor acts as a generator charges the battery, so the regenerative braking is essentially a form of engine braking -- there are no additional brake rotors associated with it by the wheels. Fitting a custom wheel should be no different on the Hybrid than the Non-Hybrid Civic.

Well actually the brake thing...the thing that holds the pad on the Civic Si and regular Civics including the hyrid are different. You need at least 3mm spacers to clear them.
