HCH Life Expectancy

What's the highest mileage anyone has ever heard that someone has on their civic hybrid without any major problems?

While it might not seem alot, I have 40K+ miles on my 04 HCH. I have had it 16 months.

The only problem I have had is that I didn't find this site until I had the car 11 months.

I have seen 65,000 miles listed on here.

Quick search on autotrader.com shows four HCH cars with more than 62,000 miles, including two with 74,000+ on them.

This concerns me also. On our car that we drive daily to Tulsa and that the wife will use for her work trips it could very well see 120k to 150k miles in 5 years. Take the new Accord. In three months its pushing 10k miles. Its not uncommon for us to put 200k miles on a car before we get rid of it at the 6 to 7 year mark. My Ranger has 123k miles on it as of right now and I bought it new 5 years ago this coming oct. I myself would also like to see some high mileage reports on hybrids. It would seem that they would be the solution, but do they have the ablity to turn in monster miles without needing major repairs? My Ranger still has its OEM brake pads and shoes on it. lmao. I just put its 3rd set of tires on it last week. As stated in another post of mileage of 60k to 70k on used HCH. Thats 2.5 to 3.5 years worth of mileage for us. and with the mileage we will put on a hybrid, we will easly run through a extended warrenty.

Got 71,000 on mine. I have a 50 mile commute, one way, very day. Still runs like a top. (averaging 48.8 mpg) Even still have the original brakes and tires on her! (can't say that about my other cars.) At this rate, I expect she'll be getting around for quite some time. I have no plan on getting rid of my HCH any time soon.

Take a look at the long term fleet results described in this thread:

42K on my 03 - nothing outside scheduled maintenance other than fixing the rattle in the dash and the computer upgrade. Runs like it did almost 3 years ago.

I know it's not an HCH, but my brother's 95 Accord just passed 250,000. Hasn't encountered anything other than wear items (clutch, etc.). Asked him how much longer he was going to own it, his reply: "until it disolves out from under me.". That's loyalty. :)

Hey, I got that rattle in my dash also! It's over by the AC vent on the passanger side. How did they fix it? It's been driving me nuts for for a while now.

I had a rattle too but it was actualy in the passenger a-pillar. I pulled it off and found the antenna wire or somethig that had some kind of thingy on the wire near the roof and I pushed the wire up so that thingy was in the roof and wasn't hitting the a pillar. Its been gone for years now.
