Major maintence schedule for HCHI
When does the timing belt need replacement, and when does the manual tranny need draining/refilling.
(I'm at 83k right now, thanks!) Also, I do 10k oil changes on mobil 1 0w20 is that safe? It doesnt burn any oil. |
Re: Major maintence schedule for HCHI
I found this info regarding the mileage interval for the manual trans fluid.
If I find the other (timing belt) info, I will post it here as well. (The maintenace schedule I am looking at makes you click each link separately, and is a bit time-consuming). 120,000 mi/192,000 km/6 yrs Scheduled Maintenance Recommended service for your 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid: http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Replace engine oil filter http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Check front and rear brake wear http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Check parking brake adjustment http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Inspect suspension components http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Inspect driveshaft boots http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS) http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Inspect exhaust system# http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Inspect fuel lines and connections# http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif #: See information on maintenance and emission warranty on page 146 of your owner's manual. http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/images/...s_gryonwht.gif Replace manual transmission fluid Check oil and coolant at each fuel stop Check tire inflation and condition once a month This is from: https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login....d%5Fhome%2Easp |

Re: Major maintence schedule for HCHI
hahahah. Ditto.
I meant to say - the timing belt is a chain, so only that needs to be adjusted correct? Or do they just check the tension on it? |
