Here's one from JC Whitney:

I was also particularly impressed with the 3-note horn they have that emulates the sound of a wild turkey, but I think that's best saved for something the likes of a Cadillac Cimaron, or a new "Saabaru" mini Saab 92X wagon made by you-know-who.

115dB at 6 feet :omg:

Hi Sledge,
Looks very impressive. I also found a decent horn that would probably just be a drop-in replacement, and very loud. Used to have one in my F150. When I pick up my 2 cases of mobil 1 next week, I may get one of these as well.

Here's the link

Picked up a 132db horn at Autozone today. Will put it in Sunday or Monday. May have to pull bumper cover off to install it.

Also saw some videos of these guys who had a train horn in their car, they drive around honking at everyone and watch them jump. Pretty funny, but also sorta mean...

Psyshack : Did you get the high or low note horn? Could you do a brief write-up of your procedure when fisnished.
Thanks and Happy New Year!

I got a low note horn. Plan on keeping the OEM horn or horns. will post on the install.

Screw the procedure -- post a .wav file of the horn!

Re: wimpy horn?

I replaced the stock horn on my 97 Civic with a dual-tone air horn a while ago. I hate under-hood horn installs, so I yanked the resonator box out of my Civic and installed the horn in the fender well so it's not visible with the hood popped. Still not as loud as I would have liked, but it's a LOT louder than stock, that's for sure.

The install is done.

The horn:

Bumper cover removed. Lots of info on the net about this. Very easy!

A old honda Dream would be proud of this. Horn lower right.

Different connections. Used silicone grease on all connections and splice. Heat shrink and Scotch 33 tape.

Installed

Horns toot. Drivers window down. Engine off.

Horns growl after install. Drivers window up. Engine running. Had to do it this way cause the horn was distorting the mic in the camera. ;)

It was worth the time and $16.00. :shade:
