Extended Warranty
 

I recently purchased a 2010 Insight EX Navi. It will be used for my business. We often drive 700-1000 miles per week while visiting client homes in the Chicago area. So far we have 800 miles.

The onboard computer says we are averaging 47.5 MPG. I understand from other postings that the onboard may not be accurate.

This is our first hybrid. Normally I don't purchase extended warranties on company vehicles.

Does the hybrid system and/or the upgrdaed electronics of Navi/Bluetooth/etc demand that I purchase an extended warranty?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the hybrid system come with an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty?

I don't remember if this is the same like in the Civic Hybrid, but depending on the dealer you got your car from, they could either screw you by lying to you and charging for a part (and get the right part under warranty) or you have a trusted dealer that will not screw you.
