Brand of wax/cleaner for your TCH

Which brand of wax and/or cleaner will you use?

Zaino? Zimo'l, Adams.....????

Which do you recommend?

AND when do you plan to apply the first 'shine?'

Also, which tire gloss?

Thank you,

Zimol..... But also going to use Chemical Guys Leather stuff too... Supposed to be really good and better than the standard OTC Products....

I used Zaino products on my previous car and got fantastic results. Haven't had a chance to "shine" up the TCH, but I hope to do so in the next few weeks.

Happy with Zimol. Washed and waxed it after about 6 weeks.

I found a nice line of products available at any auto store.

Eagle One Nanowax Spray
&
Eagle One Wipe & Shine Detailing Spray between waxings

The result looks excellent and it is very easy to apply and wipe off. No waiting to dry - just spray and wipe.

I use microfiber cloths which I buy in 20 cloth batches.

I use Meguiars NXT. I used to use the liquid, but just tried the paste and I am very impressed. I also have some paint overspray get on the car near work so I got a Mothers Clay bar kit, clay bared the car, then NXT Paste and all I can say is WOW, car has deep gloss and finish is as soft as a baby's butt. I usually wax 4 times a year. The NXY holds up easily between waxes and I find that bugs remove easier than when I was using NuFinish. I hear all this about Zaino, but don't feel it is worth the cost. The NXT beads water up fine for months.

My process on day one with a car, is wash with dish detergent to help strip anything on the finish then dry and wax. Repeat every 4 months. I never clay bared before, but it seems to have made for a real smooth finish.

When I waxed my cars the always rusted.
I have never waxed a Toyota and I've owned about half a dozen of them over the years and none of them have ever rusted. Coincidence? Possibly.
I use whatever crap the carwash sprays on and do get them washed weekly.

I've got a long wait before I'll be able to wax my TCH (the dealer says 120 days :( ), but I plan to use Eagle One Nanowax and micro-fiber cloths.

I've had good luck with the Eagle One on my '94 XLE and my wife's Avalon.

I will second the "plug" for the Maguiar's NXT Tech Wax, but I have the liquid.

I waxed mine the weekend before I ran over Bambi, and the body shop paperwork tells me that I can't wax it until 90 days have passed. That is going to kill me, since the weather will be too cold for waxing when November rolls around, so it might have to wait until spring! :omg:

Can the liquid polish really be that bad for the paint? I want to have protection from the salt and winter weather...
