Dual button on climate control not working - 2008 TCH

I can not toggle the Dual button, the light stays lit and the controls are separate. The system can not enter normal mode, where one button controls both sides.
Is there an easy fix? I don't want to bring it to the dealer, for a minor item.
Thanks!

I'd suggest buying Mongus cable and downoading Techstream s/w which is free. Then you have Techstream scanner for the cost of about 30 bucks and, at least, can scope the system. That set up is very useful for anything on that car.

I have the Automatic https://www.automatic.com/home/ adapter, so I'm already connected. It tells me if something goes wrong.

Finding a salvage unit would be cheaper than a trip to the dealer. If you have a couple salvage yards near by, this could be an option for you. It looks like they go for between $45 and $125. You may have to look at few of them to find one that is not scratched and does not have the mounting tabs busted off.

It sounds like the little micro switch in the Dual button is stuck.

Oh, a VERY pricy OBD2 BT adapter? Well, maybe that's why it works. I have two cheaper ones and on both my TCH and HiHY they threw error codes after several months use. I am staying away from using them from now on.
Peeps say that cabled BT adapter does not produce this effect. And it's only relevant to cheap ones. I'm cheap.
But this adapter won't let you run Techstream on vehicle.
