Hi,
I also get good results by using a small 12v float battery charger which does not overcharge the battery. First, I let the traction battery charged to green-bar level and then I connected the float battery charger to the 12v battery. After two and a half months, the traction battery charge level was still at green-bar level and the car started right away. At this rate, I think I can leave the car in the garage for at least three months or more without driving it.

I just came back from a two week vacation and the car was fine. Don't worry, be happy.

Mine has sat for a bit over 3 weeks while I was on vacation and started up just fine. The traction battery SOC didn't change at all from sitting. I think the 12V battery is more likely to run down from sitting than the traction battery.

I was gone 11 days and the traction battery was down 2/3 of the way upon my return.

I turned the lights to the off setting instead of the normal auto setting I have them on. Went on 2 wk vacation, started right up when I got home. Don't know if it made a difference, but read to do that hear in the forum somewhere.

I can see now these cars are not all the same...

I got terribly sick last winter and my car sat *outside* here in Minneapolis for 4 months without getting started.. Mind you it was in the -20's F for extended periods..

When I did start it - it fired right up as though I had shut it off the day before. I switched over to the energy monitor on the NAV and it showed almost a full stack of blue-bars..

My car is a 2007 and was one of the last few to have been built in Japan..
