maint req warning
I know that there's a way to disable the MAINT REQ graphic that appears whenever my car wants an oil change. Can anyone help me with this? I think it requires me to hold down the trip mileage button while doing something else...

Re: maint req warning
Place the trip odometer to "A", turn the car off, push and hold the trip reset button while you start the car, continue holding the button until the maintenance info resets. (I believe this is the correct procedure.)

They should have put it with the specific warning notice description. They should have put a reference to it where it talks about oil changes. They should have put a reference to it in the index. I wrote the page number for it in all sorts of other places so next time it won't take me 20 minutes to find it. |

Save yourself the aggravation...
just use a search engine http://www.bing.com/search?q=reset+m...&go=&form=QBLH takes a few seconds. |

Per el manual:
Resetting the engine oil maintenance data The engine oil maintenance data must be reset after replacement of the engine oil. Reset the data by the following procedure: 1. Turn off the hybrid system with the trip meter A reading shown. For details, see “—Odometer and two trip meters” on page 138 in this Section. 2. The “POWER” switch must be set at ON while holding down the trip meter reset knob. A message “OIL MILEAGE RESET MODE” will appear on the display. 3. Hold down the knob at least 5 seconds. A message “COMPLETE” will appear and the message “OIL MILEAGE RESET MODE” goes off. |
