Re: TCH Headlights
I find the low beam quite effective and friendly for oncoming traffic.
I did notice however that exit signs posted high on the road are not lit
up from the same close distance as they were when driving my old 1999 Honda Accord. From a distance there's no difference but as I drive closer
to the signs, they fade and become really dark much earlier.
I guess this is the trade off for being so focused and friendly for the others.
Not too important, I noticed it in the beginning, "now" I forgot

Re: TCH Headlights
Maybe it's those WV hills...
Could be, but every evening when I'm out driving and I see lit up eyes along the road I wish I had better lights. I typically see two to three new dead deer along the road each morning this time of the year. Just hoping one of them don't have my name on it some day.
It just surprised me that only 2 people don't think these lights are up to minimum acceptable standards.

WV are you certain your lights are properly aligned? In one of the tech manuals it shows what the specs should be and where your lights should hit a solid surface from a certain distance away.
I ask this because my lights were misaligned when I got the vehicle. The left light was severely toed in and both were fairly low.
I sure wish I could do a headlight adjustment on my own, but from what I saw in the tech manuals posted on this forum, it looks as though the adjustment screws are really buried, and you have to take some body parts(?) off in order to get to them.

Re: TCH Headlights
I miss my HIDs on my TL
I can imagine. My FX also had a dial I could turn to raise or lower the beam a little bit (in case the car was loaded). It was sprung so stiff I never noticed a load affecting it but I did have them aimed high a lot. They were bright white.
