Hello,
Follow some easy points and get better mileage from your car
1. Always follow an authorized service center for maintenance service
2. Avoid AC
3.Make sure that your tires are properly inflated
4.Always use a good engine oil
5. Avoid accelerating on steep road
6. Drive in right gear
7.Keeping your highway speed at 55 mph can improve you gas mileage by as much as 25%.
these are the few basics that one should follow while driving it is god for your car as well as for your self.

I had a 1998 Honda Civic LX sedan and averaged 25 MPG in the summer and 21-23 MPG in the winter. Never understood why that car got such bad gas mileage. Could have been the SI wheels, I suppose
Now with my '04 HCH, I'm averaging 48 MPG and I just started driving it...so I have a feeling this will go up with time.
