110V Power Question
So we are headed camping this weekend and I am curious if the power outlet runs off the car battery or the hybrid battery?
How long do you think something can run off the outlet in either case? I'd hate to plug in something (coffee maker, etc) for a while and end up with a dead car that won't start come Sunday morning.

Also it is important to look at the draw of whatever you're plugging into the factory supplied 110V outlet. There is a limit to what it will do.
I don't think it will run something with a substantial heating element like some coffee makers do. I know mine refused to power my small(ish) shop vac when I went to vacuum it out.

The 110vac outlet is only powered with the key on. One of the 12v outlets is on regardless and the other is powered only when the key is on.
The 110vac outlet is limited to 150 watts. With the key on the traction battery powers the 12v system until it reaches its low limit. The relay contactors then open and the 12v battery takes over until it dies.
Hope your coffee can get hot enough on 150 watts…

However, I think the fuse would break if you plug in a coffee pot, which runs to several hundred watts. I don't think it would simply continue to supply power at 150 watts - but I have never tried it in an FEH.

The engine only starts and runs if you go thru the run position to the start position and then return it to run.
I would think a small tv might be OK, look at the nameplate label for total wattage.

I'm sorry, I must have read incorrectly--I thought you said you were going camping in your post above but that's obviously not the case if you're bringing a TV...

TIP:
Your HV battery has approx.150 watt-hours to "give" in normal operation.
Thus, you could run a 150 watt appliance for exactly 1 hour between recharges with the gas engine. If you leave the key in run, the car will cycle every few minutes to keep the engine hot, even though the HV battery is mostly full.
TIP: Manually turn the key on and off and run the engine for 5 minutes each hour to keep the batteries topped off, and to use the least amount of gas.
