This file attachment is the photo of the three parts that were installed in my vehicle. This was in the engine block heater (41H) thread.

Here is the photo that gpsman1 (John) was asking about. I believe it shows a component of the three piece engine block heater. See the file attachment.
FYI: I bought my engine block heater (from dealer) for like $180 while WaltPa got his even cheaper.

Ford's part numbers for the block heater option are 4M6Z-6B018-AA WIRE ASY, F5RZ-6A051-B HEATER ASY, 5M6Z-10B689-AA CHARGER ASY. When the engine block heater is plugged into the 115 Vac, this charger trickle charges the traction battery. This suggests a "poor-man" PHEV solution for the Escape Hybrid provided the charger will fill the battery; it might only charge when the HV battery reaches a low SoC.

That PHEV document is nice piece of work and some great information.
I read your post about the "5 passenger, 140mpg..." and if I had the
bucks I'd be first in line for the mod.
I'm following with interest you're rally ideas for the western states. I'd be
interested in meeting you someday over a cup of coffee.

It is unlikely I am going to get any answers from the dealership that installed my engine block heater--mostly because I am 840 miles from my home. A better thought is to ask my local Ford Service's Department the questions you are seeking. Too bad I didn't know of this PHEV stuff and questions we are seeking prior to having the engine block heater installed as that would have been the time to ask a few questions.
I want a outside temperature monitor that is displayed all the time. I might purchase a Ford rearview mirror (if I can find one at the right price) with a temperature monitor and have my local Ford Service Department install this. The Gentek mirrors should be cheaper but will the Ford service Department install it?
Was the slight drop in HV battery due to the demands placed upon it by useage of the Scan Gauge II? Has anyone heard when the updated Scan Gauge (III?) will be available?

Better photos comparing the stock hybrid with one that has the engine block heater installed. Look at the file attachment.
