this makes no sense- no IMA-, still get 43mpg
Followup to earlier post.
I jump started my 2006 HCH. After that i got IMA light and a battery light.
Battery seems good. (red circle inside blue circle)
Car starts on starter only (it's way above temp threshold)
None of the hybrid guages show anything, no assist, no regen, no battery status.
I called Honda dealer. They said it was ok to drive it to them with a yellow IMA light
I left work, drove 24 miles to home at 55-60 mph and I got my usual 43 mpg for htat trip.
Car does not autostop.
So, it seems to drive like everything is OK but the guages would suggest it's running on ICE alone.
Is there a user reset for the IMA light or the battery light?
My understanding s that it has no alternator and that the 12V battery gets charge from a converter, is that correct?
Something kept the battery charged. I drove 25 miles and the car restarted just fine.
thanks

Hi Dave:
Did the IMA light reset as well. You may want to keep a close eye on that battery every day, especially after sitting over night. If it is not blue with red dot then you will know the battery is loosing its charge over night. Good news and good luck in the future, H
