Default PCV valve replacement

I am coming up to the 90k service on my 2004 Prius and it all looks reasonably easy with the exception of PCV valve replacement - never done it, don't know what it is.... any advice?

Hi,

I've not done it with my Prius, yet, but Doug Shafer has. If I remember correctly, he found it to be a bit difficult. Do you have one of the Prius maintenance manuals, Hayes or Brown?

Ordinarily the PVC valve lets crankcase gases bleed into the intake manifold and get burned up in the engine.

Sorry I can't help,
Bob Wilson

The problem is that you need to move a lot of stuff to get to the PCV valve. I just let the dealer do that part at 100k miles; its only money.
