Default Prius Service Manuals

Where is the best (least expensive) place to get Prius Service Manuals?

I am kind of looking for an actual manual, not online stuff.

The paper manuals are often on ebay. CDs there are even cheaper, but it has never been entirely clear that these are 100% legal.

I bought my 03 Prius manuals from Toyota in 2005 and paid over $200 for Vol. 1, Vol.2 and the electrical manuals. I've been happy with them but at the sametime, I tried to buy an Echo CD.

The Echo CD was over six weeks late . . . no problem, I'm waiting. But the content was terrible. It looks like a badly scanned paper manual and there was no clear indication of how to identify the specific parts for our 01 Echo. I was trying to understand something about the automatic transmission and eventually figured it out. But the cheap, CD was nearly useless.

If Toyota offered an indexed CD, I would consider it but would not expect it to be cheap. Some folks have a lot of luck with the online service but I haven't had occasion to try it, yet.

Is there any place else the official manuals can be purchase from? I'd rather not buy from Toyota as they will be more expensive, especially if you mean I have to get them from a dealership. I know with GM vehicles, I can get them from the source....Helm for far less than a GM dealership. I'm not interested in aftermarket company service manuals.
