I've a wife and 3 kids (16, 12, 12) and I often take a 5-hour trip with 1 week's woth of stuff. It all fits fine. Pack light and pack wisely.

The dog's small enough (24lb beagle), but with the two child car seats, there's about 6 inches of room, between them.
