Hi there. i just came from the yahoo forums and saw something about a recall, and an ECU update. what was the recall for? and what's the ECU? and what's the update for? just concerned because my prius is said to be january production for february delivery. would it need this update?

The update mostly concerns cars made around September (?), but you should probably call anyway.

I was browsing around the yahoo forum files and saw a copy of the recall letter and also the notice to the toyota dealerships regarding the ECU reprogramming. At least now i know what the update/reprogramming is for.

 

I actually haven't even read it I probably should. It's also in the files section here. I started transfering some of the files over.

 

I had it done and there were no problems doing the programing.
