anyone planning to sell an Insight?
Howdy
I still have the impression I will eventually get an HCH II if my 'order' ever materializes, which has given me way too much time to think. I still think about an Insight. That said, anyone here have plans to sell theirs to get a newer one or a Civic or Accord hybrid? If nobody does - if I could get a well-maintained 71K 2000 model Insight, 5 speed, in the $8000-$9000 range, is that a decent price? Any 'insight', pun intended, is appreciated!

Re: anyone planning to sell an Insight?
Corvette Z16: is basically a ZO6 corvette with carbon fiber hood and special $$$ paint with stripes - but I love it, and drive it like I stole it...
My HCH Mag Pearl is w/o Navi. Just couldn't see spending the extra $$ for that Navi. My Garmin does great and I can move it from car to car.
Good luck in your search.

Re: anyone planning to sell an Insight?
I paid $10k for my Insight in May 05, it had 52k miles in it. That sounds plenty reasonable but then again I'm a huge Insight lover so I have blinders on and can't see outside of the box.

Re: anyone planning to sell an Insight?
I am being pushed by my safety-consious spouse to move from my 86 LMPG 2000 MT Insight to either a HCH2 or a Prius. I do some night driving in areas with a lot of drunks, and he worries that my hypermiler speeds will get me run over or into someday with very minimal defenses. I am very reluctant, but do feel vulnerable in the Insight. A decision looms, as the tax breaks on a new car will not be available for much longer. This car is listed here (Rubber Band). What do you all think?

Re: anyone planning to sell an Insight?
I don't really want to part with my Insight. However, if somebody offered me $24,000 for it I would sell it. It's a 2005 CVT with 12,000 miles on it, and has a kickin' premium sound system and nav system.
(Obviously from the price, you can tell I want to keep the car.)
