Insight IMA Light 73k
Hey iv read a bit but what im after is a way to reset this light myself and not pay the dealer $85 to check or reset the light.
2000 Honda Insight IMA Light 73k
Battery was pretty low when i first got it
So iv put 100 miles on the car and just recently im at a light, car is off in that mode.. i go to take off and the car just wont restart? I turn the key off and take it out, put key back in and it starts fine. Then IMA light comes on. Kinda odd.
The battery was like 80% when this happened... as i said the charging and motor assist was working great.
So i obd2 scanned her and had p1164 and p1449... one was the O2, and the other is battery over heat i guess which makes sense since i hear the old Insights have goofy recharge modules.. like the system charges the batteries too much.. i live in Indiana so my battery was staying kinda full... ya really full like 65-80% 24/7.....
Im sure i dont apply for any warranty.. I need the updated control boxes right? I read somewhere that you can tell when a new car has them as one of the characters on the VIN in the engine bay has a mark above it.. i dont have that either so rockin old control boxes i guess.
So... WHAT should I do?
Thanks hardcore Insight owners in advance!!
