roof rack for Insight

roof rack for Insight
I need a roof rack for carrying a Kayak. I'd like a mounted roof rack since I've tried tying straps through the door frame and they always leak when it rains. Not nice to have water streaming in.

I purchased locking Yakima racks and sportrack too set the Kayak on. Very good and solid system. You can remove the racks in min.. I installed a fairing on the front rack because of the noise! And purchased a boat loader attachment for the back rack so that I can load my 16' tandem by myself. You may want to check this out.Hal

Posting pictures in four (fairly) easy steps:
1) Set up an account on a photo-sharing website. I use photobucket.com.
2) Upload your pictures to your new account.
3) In photobucket; After you're back in your album, hover your pointer over the picture you want to post, when the dialog box pops up, put your pointer in the text opposite "direct link", click once to highlight, copy that text (Control-C).
4) Back at greenhybrid.com; Place your pointer in the message box where you want the photo to appear, click on "insert image" in the toolbar at the top of the message box, paste your "direct link" (Control-V) into the box that pops up, hit ok. Post quick reply.
Just like that you are posting pictures at Greenhybrid.com!
Hope this helped....

Yakima and Thule do not have a fit for the 2010 Insight as of today 5/27/09. I have been in contact with both and it is in the works. They need to test the rack on the new Insight first to make sure nothing can go wrong.
