You know, now that the bug can be squashed, I think I'm going to miss the impetuous little gremlin, in a really twisted sort of way...
I'm thinking maybe after all the complaining, maybe I WON't get it fixed. After all, maybe I can make some real dough on it when I sell it 20 years from now. I can see the classified ad now....
"2006 HCH II. Vintage automobile. Metallic Pearl. Loaded. 200,000 miles. New battery pack ( ). This one has the RARE 62 mile bug ......"

Response to ad 20 years from now....
"That car sounds cool, but who can drive it since you they don't make gasoline anymore, the over-the-air am/fm radio is worthless, and what's an IPOD/mp3?"

Re: 62 mile bug fixed by Honda
I took my car in on Wednesday and got it back on Thursday afternoon. One word of caution on this. Write down your mileage from your odometer as they made a mistake on my service receipt and put down 20,180 miles when I actually only had 6300 miles on the car. Hell, I just got the car on January 13th! Apparently the mechanic wrote down the wrong number or made up a number. I finally did get it cleared up with the service manager and he had to write a completely new order so he could input the correct mileage and give me a new receipt which I am supposed to get in the mail. He said the updated receipt would then be the one that is input into their system for tracking purposes. Luckily for this site that I was able to go into the database and collect the mileage from my fill-ups and give him those numbers.

Interim report about my car - I had an appointment for Friday. They said all they needed to do was update the software. I was skeptical due to what I had read here. Took the car in, left it most of the day, only to get a call that they need to order the part for me. Once they get the part I'll take it in again - probably next Friday.
