I thought about the safety aspects of it as well and I don't think I compromise on safety. With your 6'3" body, it should really help you allot? H

the main issue with modding the seat is that if you're injured in an accident the other person's insurance may point to that as a reason you were hurt. They will try everything they can to get out of paying for stuff.

maybe no one, hopefully. I've modded every car I've owned, so I'm not against them by any means. But safety equipment, including seats, can be used against you. Even IMPROVING safety equipment (I had 5 point harnesses in my NSX) can be used against you. When I got t-boned they tried to tell me that I had altered the sfety equipment so they didn't have to pay my medical. My insurance company laughed at that, but they did try.

Glad you're ok, and I'm glad to hear Progressive is taking care of you. I'm still helping my dad fight with them over a teenager who rear-ended him at moderate speed. They refused to use OEM parts on his truck.

Not to divert, but what is the seat mod everyone is referencing?

It's adding a spacer to the front seat mounts to increase the rake of the seat bottom. I find thigh support lacking in this car.

I agree. I've looked into swapping the seats out for Si seats, but I've been told that the airbag system is different.
