Should I buy a 2005 HCH
Hi,
I am looking at buying a 2005 HCH with 141,000 miles on it. The exterior is clean and the dealership says it runs great and that the battery is in good shape. I was wondering if it is worth it (it would be less than $7000 because they are having troubles selling it because it is a 5 speed). If I had to replace the IMA battery how much would that cost? Thank you,

The cost to have a dealer install a new traction pack would be prohibitive. The car can be driven without a fully functioning IMA battery so a dead IMA battery does not equal a dead car.
Rebuilt packs are cheaper, and rebuilding your own would be really cheap.
If you are mechanically handy this car sounds like an excellent deal, if not you might want to take a pass.

Where would be able to buy a rebuilt battery or the supplies to rebuild it? This will be my first hybrid if I buy it but I am mechanically knowledgeable and I have only owned and maintained Honda's in the past.
Thank you,
Thank you,
