Sad to say but this type of article feeds a misconception echoed in European reviews that hybrids are all hype. They seem to insist that hybrid popularity is just a successful marketing effort and the only practical vehicle is an advanced diesel. But in some respects, this misconception works to our favor.

To the extent that this suppresses hybrid sales in Europe, it means the limited production is available to the USA market. This leads to 'less bad' prices although it is hard to say that right now as hybrids don't sit on the lots very long.
