Advanced notice here as I don't see Honda in the partner/sponsor list so I'd be really disappointed if there is no new Insight to test drive! Last year they had at least a hybrid Camry/Civic/Highlander and Smart car to drive (and the Smart seemed to be the most popular at the time). Someone should go bug Lute Riley or something if its not too late.

Keynote this year is Ed Begley Jr. Also new is they'll have a recycling drop off for computers, cell phones, etc. DART will provide shuttle service from the local college and a rail station (cause they're running out of nearby parking!). Neighboring cities of Richardson and Allen are listed as partners so it seems like they're pooling resources (especially considering the budget problems they're having). We had a nice group last year show up (me and gumby from here; xcel, deltaflyer, atlaw4u, palemelanesian and tarabel from cleanmpg which had a booth set up).

Indeed, it was fun last year. My interests were mostly in insulation and radiant barrier info last year. I have no agenda thus far for this year.
They also had a white Ford Escape Hybrid, brought by one of the utility companies, I believe. I test-drove it (about 200 feet in a parking lot). Ni-i-ce - for that 30 seconds :)
They had 2 or 3 Smart Cars, and they were very popular. I didn't get a chance to try one out, though, as I arrived at the event too late in the day.

I'd love to see a new Insight and a Fusion!

Edward James Begley, Jr. is an American actor, game show panelist and environmentalist. Begley is perhaps best known for his role as Dr. Mark Craig's intern, Dr. Victor Ehrlich on the television series St. Elsewhere, for which he received six consecutive Emmy Award nominations. He currently has a reality show about green living called Living With Ed on Planet Green with his wife, actress Rachelle Carson. ($300 a year in electric bills for his home)
