How about a Madison Prius gathering Sunday 3/7/04 2pm at Red Robin Restaurant, 6522 Monona Drive at the Beltline intersection. Just an informal get-together to talk Prius and share our enthusiasm for this great car.
I hope to see you there! -Bill |
Hi, Bill.
Just wanted to emphasize that Madison is in Wisconson. It's in the thread title but not in the post. There are hybrid enthusiasts across the globe. May be best to be as specific if possible, and also a MapQuest or Yahoo map would be ideal :) You can even attach it here if you like. |
Bill,
Did you end up having a gathering? If so, how was it? |
Nice hybrid car meeting.
35 degrees and windy, though, so limited outside time checking out cars. Thanks to Bill for setting up the meeting time. 2 '04 Pruis 1 Classic Prius 1 '02 Insight Eric |
Here's a link to pics from the gathering.
My middle son, Colby, came with for fun. Gathering pics link Thanks to Bill for taking and posting them. Notice the photo of my 77mpg for 38 miles. As I mentioned in the previous post, it was windy, so the tail wind really helped! Eric |
Hi Ericbecky:
___Did you all get a chance to swap around cars for a mile or two + drive? If you did, how did you like it? I really liked the room in the 04 Prius I test drove a few times in comparison to the Insight’s rear deck in particular. What kind of numbers were posted up on the instantaneous’ of the Prius’ at your gathering? And what is the “Graham” multi-meter used for in the 01-03 Prius? ___Good Luck ___Wayne R. It was cold and blustery so we skipped doing any sort of driving. We did at least sit in each others vehicles and check out the interior layout. Even popped the hood for fun! Maybe we'll do some test driving next time.
I don't remember the instantaneous numbers on the Prius, but with it being so windy, if anyone had to come to the gathering against the wind the numbers would have been lower than normal. The Graham mulitmeter, as I understand it, is a meter than simply plugs into the diagnostic outlet under the dash and gives the driver access to all sorts of additional data. Perhaps one of the Pruis people could elaborate on the details. Eric |
