I once worked with somone with an old Corolla and he always boasted to everyone that it had over 400k miles on it.
Sounds impressive until I drilled him with questions.
Turns out its front end was completely replaced twice and rebuilt once.
Over the life of the car it had 2 new engines and one rebuild.
MT was rebuilt twice.

I rode with him once but no more for the serious front end wobble.
I told him he should give it a final rest

Hi All:

___Not that this was a Hybrid but my local Acura dealership has/had an Acura Legend with > 1,000,000 miles on it. It used to sit in the dealerships showroom a few years ago and then they started letting it out as a loaner and parts pick up car. I don’t know if they still have it but I saw the odometer and it was pretty amazing if I do say so myself.

___Good Luck

To add to the longevity reports, there was aparently a Honda Accord that traveled coast to coast w/ a government worker, it lasted 1 million miles w/ only a few clutch changes and normal mantenence. I dont have a link to the info, but it was a credible source i remember.
Cheers,
Steven

My 92 Honda Civic (Keeps on rollin') has 364,000 miles on it. It has had only one engine replacement (at 245,000 miles) and a 12V battery replacement (270,000 miles), but has its original clutch, transmission, front end, and shocks.

If you replaced the engine, it doesn't count imho. Replacing the engine essentially resets the odometer to zero (ditto rebuilding). Might as well buy a new car.

I had a Dodge Shadow that lasted 300,000 miles. It probably could have gone longer, but I already had 4 cars, so I just junked it. The reason it lasted so long is because it was mainly interstate miles which are very gentle to the engine (constant velocity).

Are you averaging about 214-257 miles/day, 5-6 days a week? I'm impressed. Fill-up every second day? Banking, legal or medical transport?

None of the above, I actually drive a tractor-trailer. Its more that I do not fly and there for everywhere I go I have to drive even to Alaska back in 2005.

It looks like that Prius is putting on almost 60,000 miles per year so I was trying to figure out how many miles per day that would run. I'm doing 18-20,000 miles per year so it is impressive to see someone doing that many miles. So I take it you're mostly doing long trips in the Prius?

In my case, I'm running about 25-30 miles per day, 6 days per week. Then last year, I had three, 1,500 mile trips and a couple of 250 mile trips. This year, a 1,000 mile (20 driving hours), 750 mile trip (14 driving hours) and two 250 mile trips.

I'm driving a 2006 Prius with 237,000 miles - original battery, not major repairs of any type, mainly breaks. Anyone heard of a Prius with more miles?

i'm the original owner.
