Hypermiling, Before and After GH
#11
Re: Hypermiling, Before and After GH
I was raised with the term "hypermileing" from childhood. My father used it when I was a small child. I was taught to drive at a very young age as he was. My brother and sisters where taught at a very young age also. My children as young as 6 years old where put behind the wheel in a field, old gravel road or old lumber road and taught the basics. My father taught me about FE at a very young age. I learned to drive on a 1967 Fiat 850 Coupe.... ( grins ). Im suprised how this is seen as SOOOOO new. Was around long before hybrids where thought of in FE terms.

Re: Hypermiling, Before and After GH
this site has helped me immensely, i've been a member since i owned my car, but chose the 10% or more option as i hadn't used hypermiling techniques since the beginning. that being said, my first tank before gh: 35.5 mpg || after gh (my last tank): 56.0 mpg. a 57.75% difference if my calculations are correct!
