Greetings all

Howdy all - and thanks to Jason for the board! Looks great!
My name is Jack, I am a Unix geek in NY working for a small telecommunications firm you parobably have never heard of ;-)
I received my Seaside BC almost exactly 4 weeks ago (tomorrow!) after only a 4-month wait. Though I am fairly technical, I am also lazy so I haven't dug into mine to the extent some of our other friends on that Other Board have! But one day, I at least hope to incorporate a few switches and things!
Hope I can come here often, but work keeps me insanely busy these days, what with my company recently having a lot more folks depart (thanks to a nice buyout package) than they wanted - or even thought! So the rest of us crank it pretty hard.
But that's OK - the Prius gets me to work in comfort and today, I hit a tank average of 47.8 on about 110 miles - gradually increasing from an initial 45-ish mpg tank average.
Hope to be chatting with y'all in the future!
Jack

Thanks for coming! Unix geek, eh? Do you develop or administrate?

Sun systems primarily - everything from my lowly SPARC-5 jumpstart server (sad to say) up to about 6 15k systems upstairs. I think there are probably around 450 or so (or is that 4509? ) up there.
In fact, right now I am setting up for an OS upgrade, Veritas upgrade and fibre driver upgrade - the whole goal of which is actually the fibre driver - but it requires all the other stuff!
It's going to be a long evening ...
May I presume you got the "joke" about the company for which I damage systems irrepairably?
Jack
