I am not sure, but I think hardwood broadleaf plants are much more efficient in converting CO2 to O2. I am sure someone here knows. Anyone care to enlighting my and sipper?

If you do get a maple tree, you can indeed get syrup from it. But you will not get much from only 1 tree, and you have to wound the tree to collect the syrup. This makes the trunk somewhat unattractive and that is a shame since Maples have beautiful bark.
