Just bought a Silver Honda Civic Hybrid 2006
Hi Guys:
I am a proud owner of of a HCH 2006. Bought the car 1 month ago without NAVI and was researching and aftermarket install with bluetooth and rear camera, and stumbled upon this forum. Wow, what a wealth of information.
BTW, I get 40 mpg. Is that normal when new.

Welcome! I can't tell you for sure if 40 is normal for an HCH 2 when new, it sounds a little on the low side, but I'm sure it will go up as your engine is broken in and you learn how to drive for maximum gas mileage. Good luck.

Welcome,
Without knowing what type of commute you have it is hard to tell. Fist thing you have to do is check the tire pressures and make sure they are good. You never know what they are out of the factory.
Most people would recomend you disregard the factory recomendations and go to max sidewall pressure if you don't mind the ride being less soft.
If you search this site you will find a link to an excelent article written on how to get the most out of your HCH II.
