05 escape brake pad replacement gone wrong... HELP?
had my mechanic change the brakes and rotors on my 2005 ford hybird, he never worked on a escape hybird before, anyways, rotors and brakes installed, but now brake peddle sinks to the floor, zero braking power, and abs and service brake system light on , also red brake light on.
what can be done ? now after we realized there is a speical mode the brakes have to go in before changing the pads. is something damaged or just simply need to re-set the brake system and if so how?
any help would be appreciated thanks

Re: 05 escape brake pad replacement gone wrong... HELP?
Your mechanic has likely already done this, but the first thing to check is the brake fluid level. If it had gone low then there is likely a leak and may now be air in the system that needs bled out.
My understanding of the system is still limited, but I had the understanding that even if the electrical portion of the braking system were to fail the pedal will still activate the cylinder manually when pressed down far enough.

The battery/fuse disconnect sequence, so far as I know, is a safety issue (you don't want the accumulator pressurizing the system while you're working on it). I'm don't recall any reports of the symptoms you're reporting due to lack of following those steps.
I'd do a bleed following the recommendations in the hybrid FSM. The attached may help.

Here's another good read (Ford Escape section begins with slide 69): https://opensiuc.lib.siu.edu/cgi/vie...text=auto_pres
