soooo, i near 500mi into my trip, avg temp for ecvt is 219 avg coolant temp is 197 mec is normally around 127-137.... nav displaay says 17mpg sscangauge i still cant figjure out hkw to do the fuel meazuring since it keeps saying 10mpg less than nav, .. ive used about rough guesstimate 22 gallons of gas ... ill say not bad????

NOW ON TO THE BAD,

I HAD IT ON CRUISE CONTROL AT 55-60MPH AND "STOP SAFELY NOW" MSG CAME ON, I KEPT MY FOOT ON THE PEDAL UNTIL THE BATTERY DIED, I THEN STOPPED scanned for codes there was non, k force cleard then anyways . turn my FEH off for about 1 min turned on and continued to my scheduled stop( my alarm went off to stop along with the msg...lol) i am stolping every 2 hrs.. now time to eat lunch and let it cool down for at least 1 hr

 

in tucson red triangle came on again bit a simple restart got it fixed..maybe i was going too fast..idl

 

Mine is an orange triangle. It sounds like the electronics got too hot.

 

idk, but it a simple restart seemed to get rid of it, and the first time it turned on it was about a year ago, and i wasnt even running i just had the battery on to listen to the radio while i packed, the red triangle turned on i called ford they say"a catastrophic failure of with the hybrid system had occur" i towed it to the dealer and they said it was the mecs pump, i bought it and installed it my self... the funny thing is that i hooke up the old pump to the battery and it still works.. i regret not going thru with making my own ecvt cooler.. ill will make it once o get to texas.. im getting about 240miles to 11 gallons not bad....

Interesting. The triangle is yellow on my 2008. And it was the MECS pump on mine as well. I only had to pull to the side, turn it off, and then back on. It happened going up a long hill for me. Replacing the pump fixed the problem.
